Exploring Judaism Beyond the Entryway

This class, led by Rabbi Rachel, is geared for people who were not raised in a Jewish home and who now live in one, are raising a Jewish family, are considering conversion or who have just converted, and who are just curious. There is absolutely no pressure or expectation to change your personal religious status or identity, and conversations around those questions are always welcome. We are interested in supporting people on this path to feel more comfortable with both traditional Jewish ideas and to grapple with the evolving spiritual and communal questions the Jewish community (and therefore Jewish people) are facing.

This class is free for Adat Shalom members and $360 requested donation for friends from outside our synagogue community. We never want financial commitment to be an obstacle to participation — please don’t hesitate to be in touch if you’d like to join the class and want to arrange a different fee.

If you are interested in joining us, our first session will be IN-PERSON, Sunday October 10th, at 10:00am, outdoors at Adat Shalom.

Subsequent sessions will be held on Tuesday nights via Zoom, October 12th – December 7th. Please click here to register.
